Claude and Claude Code

How your users add your integration to Claude on the web and desktop, and to Claude Code in the terminal.

On this page

Your users need the MCP address of your integration, which you find on the Production step once it is live:

Text
https://connect.grostify.com/t/acme/mcp

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector and paste the address.
  3. Claude opens a Connect page. The user reviews what Claude will be able to read in your system and clicks Allow.
  4. They sign in on your login page, or paste their personal API key, depending on your authentication.

From then on they can ask in any conversation, for example "What invoices do I have open this month?", and Claude calls your tools with their own access.

Claude Code

Run this in a terminal, with your slug and address:

Terminal
$ claude mcp add --transport http acme https://connect.grostify.com/t/acme/mcp

Then type /mcp inside Claude Code to sign in. The same Connect page and your login open in the browser.

Note

Claude and Claude Code share the Claude channel: the tools you enable in Claude are available in both.

Each time a user connects, Connect shows a page with:

  • Your company name and your verified domain.
  • The titles of the tools Claude will be able to use (up to 12, then "And N more").
  • What comes next: your login page, or the field for their API key.

Connect asks for consent on every new connection and never sees the user's password.
