How your users add your integration to ChatGPT as a custom connector with the MCP address.

ChatGPT connects to the same MCP server as Claude. Each user signs in with their own account.

Add the connector

In ChatGPT, turn on developer mode in the connector settings.
Create a connector and paste the MCP address of your integration:

ChatGPT opens a Connect page. The user reviews what ChatGPT will be able to read and clicks Allow.
They sign in on your login page, or paste their personal API key.

Note

Custom connectors depend on the user's ChatGPT plan. If a user does not see the option, check what their plan includes.

Only the tools you enabled in the ChatGPT channel. Tools enabled only in Claude, WhatsApp or Web are not offered here. See Channels.

Problem	Cause
ChatGPT cannot connect	The integration is not live yet, or the address is mistyped.
A tool is missing	It is not enabled in the ChatGPT channel.
The user is asked to reconnect	Their session in your system ended, or you revoked the connection.
